New Arrivals- Cosmo Cricket, October Afternoon and Reminisce

Reminisce has introduced two ADORABLE lines- Monsters and Barnyard Buddies. Both have three sticker sheets that coordinate, words/phrases, journaling spots, and a full 12x12 self-adhesive sheet. There are 6 double sided sheets in each line! The Barnyard Buddies line is perfect for those trips to the Petting Zoo or for 4-H projects.

October Afternoon also has a barnyard themed line- Farm Fresh. (it's the one on the right) Their school line has delightful vintage elements that make it perfect for scrapbooking grandma's 6th grade picture as well as your own little one's yearbook photo.

We were just complaining about the lack of good fall papers (not that we don't LOVE BasicGrey's Indian Summer) when Cosmo Cricket's 'Nutmeg' preview showed up in our inbox. The colors are rich and fresh- nothing less than you would expect from Cosmo. The patterns are also adorable! We are all big fans of the cute critters. :) There are Paper Crafting Packs, Ready-Set-Chip, stickers, Mini-decks and all 6 papers with the borders and elements here. "The Gift's Inside" Specialty Holiday Card Class - October 13

This specialty card class is coming up soon, this Tuesday, October 13. Choose the time that works best for you. Alissa is teaching this class in the morning beginning at 10:30 PM and in the evening at 6:30 PM.

Often we want to give a special someone more than just a card during the holidays, but don't have the budget to give a full-out gift. That's where these creatively made cards come in handy! Join Alissa as she teaches you how to make three speciality cards, complete with a variety of new card folds and techniques to hold mini-gifts, all of which we'll also make or alter in class. You'll walk away with three completed cards, each with its own gift inside, detailed instructions and a color photograph of the samples so you can easily recreate the cards.

In addition to your basic tool kit, please bring a fast drying liquid adhesive (such as Scrappy glue), an assortment of glue dots, and a scoring blade for your trimmer.

Autumn Harvest Wreath Class - October 17

Come make this high-end boutique inspired wreath next Saturday, October 17 at 10:30 AM. The class is a steal at only $14.00!

Dress up an interior door, the back of a chair or hang this beautifully paper crafted 10" Autumn wreath on the wall. It's sure to impress your guests and add a cozy Fall feeling to your home! Alissa will teach you how to perfectly cover the foam base in paper. Plus, she'll give step-by-step instructions on how to craft the paper flowers (you'll be hooked on these after you make one)!

In addition to your basic tool kit, please bring Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink (or equivalent), an assortment of glue dots (mini and craft or memory book size) and a strong holding, quick drying liquid adhesive (such as Scrappy Glue or Zip Dry).

St Jude Silent Auction Items

Take a look at what people have donated for our Silent Auction to benefit St Jude Children's Hospital. If you're not able to make it in the store this weekend, but want to bid, please give us a call. We'll be happy to submit your bid for you. The auction runs through Sunday and winners will be notified on Monday, October 12th. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the money raised will go DIRECTLY to St Jude!

Options by Pine Cone Press

September was the first month we participated in a new program by Pine Cone Press called Options. They send us two kits a month - one is a project using their papers and blanks, the second is using another company's paper (September was My Mind's Eye).

Sometimes they're mini books, layouts, or cards, but they always give you Options of other things you can make with just the materials in the kit!

October's kits arrived yesterday! The first is lovely card box with matching cards that would make a wonderful gift and it uses their new Donna Salazar winter papers that are in soft and fuzzy blues and grays. The second is an adorable layout using Cosmo Cricket's new Jolly by Golly line. There are also ideas for some great cards!
