New Goodies- Friday 9/12

KI Memories Sheers, Heidi Grace & Fancy Pants

KI Memories new Sheers are really NEAT. They're a light weight vinyl with printing and the edges are *shaped*. I can see some totally awesome holiday or party table layouts and decorations done with these. Someone jokingly called them place mats (because of the material) but I would *absolutely LOVE* to do a spread with these as my place mats, with stamped place cards , ribbon on the glasses and some coordinating paper crafted centerpieces. (I just wish there was a Halloween one because then I could use Danielle's Haunted Topiary as my centerpiece! Although that black swirl could be Halloween...)


And speaking of Halloween, the papers missing from our last Heidi Grace shipment arrived and they are **SO** worth the wait! Heidi Grace is one of my all time favorite papers and I think her Halloween line is going to be my favorite again this year- it doesn't hurt at all that it's purple!


Also, the rest of Regan's Closet arrived and i have to say, this is a line that quickly became a favorite- I mean, I liked it when the regular cardstock papers arrived, but now, it's "WOW!". It's amazing how differently you see the papers when they're all together. The Shimmer Flocked Argyle is so pretty and would make some really awesome cards. The colors are soft enough that these papers could be for baby pages, announcements, thank yous, but are also bright and fresh enough that they could be anything else as well!


And finally, Fancy Pants- long awaited! (the 8x8 paper pads are SUPER cool) The top two rows are the Holiday paper and they are so deliciously rich! New clear glittered embellishments arrived also (they just don't photograph well- maybe they're shy!) The Daily Grind is in the next two rows and it is just a great line for pretty much anything! Starbucks mornings with your girlfriends, coworker gatherings, life in general... it's very versatile. (if you look on their blog missfancypants.typepad.com you'll see all sorts of inspiration) And finally, the bottom two rows are All Fall. There is an inspirational quote page that has some really nice stuff on it- some of my favorite quotes- perfect for pages *and* cards. Nice, rich fall colors, but with patterns that are great for Back-to-School, fall carnivals, family gatherings... I just love it when paper can be used for so many different things!

October Afternoon, New Halloween

We received October Afternoon's Hometown line and 4 sets of clear stamps. Their other lines are on the way- including NightLight and Good Cheer!


New Halloween paper arrived from Cloud 9 Design, Heidi Grace, and Little Yellow Bicycle. We also received a re-order of Making Memories' Spellbound papers! It's a little hard to see in the photo, but the Little Yellow Bicycle paper has flocking and the Cloud 9 has glitter/luster embossing! They're very cool papers! We expect to receive more Heidi Grace Halloween papers soon too.

Last week's goodies!

It was a busy week! We got in all sorts of new goodies from Maya Road, Scenic Route, Creative Imaginations, QuicKutz, Sassafras Lass, Hero Arts, Stampendous, My Little Shoebox, Die Cuts with a View... TONS of new Christmas and Holiday stamps, new Halloween, it's coming out our ears!

Also, last week was our QuicKutz Event where we had Kris from Quickutz come out and show off new product, stuff that will be coming out and he did a Q&A session where he also collected people's suggestions and ideas to take back to QK R&D.

So- rather than bombard you with a whole line of photos, i created a Slide show of the new product that came in last week. :) The Quickutz new releases aren't on here because i didn't get a photo of them before we sold out of half the new shapes, but don't worry- the reorder is already put in and should be on its way. :)

Our Birthday celebration continues with our talented instructors. Have you ever wondered who an instructor was or what their style was like? If so, then you will not want to miss this special event. Each instructor will guide you through creating a mini project giving you the opportunity to meet them and see their style. In order to prevent you from standing in line we are reserving time frames.

New Goodies - Basic Grey and More!

Wow- Last week brought all kinds of great stuff! We got three of Basic Grey's new lines, Making Memories' holiday line, new stamps from Inkadinkado, Hampton Art, Impression Obsession, Outlines and more! (including a TON of new $1 clear stamp sets!)

Basic Grey's Ambrosia has rich fall tones with a nice edge courtesy of the cool greys. I think it would make very classy Halloween invitations or decorations... It has the colors of the season without the kitsch some Halloween papers have. It's a very 'grown-up' line with the classic Basic Grey look that we all love. The patterns are perfect for both scrapbooking and card making.

Basic Grey's Offbeat has some nice mellow tones that make it a great transitional line. It has a masculine edge to it, but it could easily be softened for girly pages. Perfect for family pages and fall/back-to-school activities.



Basic Grey's Eva is very luxe with deep wine tones, mauves, chocolate browns and a punch of lime. Brocades and swirls that bring to mind the classic Basic Grey line- Black Tie, this is a wonderfully versatile line that could easily be used as an alternative Christmas scheme, fall wedding invitations or your favorite little girl being, well, a perfect little girl!


Making Memories new Holiday line, Fa La La La, combines the swank of contemporary lines with the rich tradition of vintage lines for a perfectly wonderful, and absolutely cohesive line! The embellishments take the cake though- the glitter alphabet stickers are the coolest font- and there are tons of them so you have so many options! They have a matching clear stamp set also.

Speaking of stamps....

Inkadinkado's new Halloween board is great! The stamps are very graphic and fresh! Katmoondu is my favorite :) who doesn't love a witchy kitty!?

Impression Obsession has some really great holiday stamps- including a Coffee Bean Christmas tree! How perfect for all us Starbucks Junkies!

New Goodies - Graphic 45 Papers

These new DOUBLE SIDED papers from Graphic 45 are so neat! Just one side is shown here and we had such a hard time deciding which one to display! These are cardstock weight papers and are absolutely perfect for cards and decor items. The patterns are very different- very vintage and we just can't say enough about them! New Goodies - August 6th

Two new lines from Pink Paislee- Vintage Moon and Pop Fashion! They both have matching 8x8 Paper Packs and clear stamp sets. There are also letter stickers in a really great psuedo-cursive font! The owl is TOO cute!
Not exactly new, but new to us- Doodlebug Paper Frills in all the colors available.. With the popularity of borders and border dies, these are a nice, inexpensive way to get the look. And in the ever popular Doodlebug colors!

New product - August 6th

Two new lines from Cosmo Cricket - Mr. Campy and Jack's World (on the left) and the new birthday line - Surprise- from Scenic Route (on the right). Mr Campy is an outdoors/camping themed line with a 50's kitsch edge. The marshmallow man on the embellishments reminds me of old time ads for campgrounds and retreats. Jack's World is a bright and fun kids line with cute animals and versatile stripes and polka dots. (Double sided card stock weight) Surprise is BRIGHT and so cute! The papers are double sided cardstock weight too, and are absolutely wonderful for boys and girls, young and old. Click the image to see up close!

Cornish Heritage Farms' new Elvis stamps- officially licensed by Elvis Presley's estate just in time for Elvis Week! (August 16th will be here before we know it!) They even have the Thomas Kincaid Graceland's 50th Anniversary stamp!
Halloween and Winter Holiday paper from Flair! Flair always gives us such nice, easy to use papers. Their patterns are the perfect size for cards, pages and paper crafting!
New Stamp groups from Inkadinkado! Each box is designed to coordinate within and we have Winter Holiday, Autumn Holiday (with some AWESOME Halloween stamps) and their new Correspondence Collection, designed for card makers to create their own stationary and matching cards.

New Fall and Winter Holiday Papers!

Making Memories Spellbound is already flying off the shelves and it just came in yesterday! The embellishments are so cool for this line with Pebble Brads, Glitter foam shapes, a very nifty sheer Invitation kit and more! The Embellishment box has felt shapes, 3-d paper shapes, buttons and more and is a steal at $11.99. (the box it comes in makes a perfect shadow box!) The paper is below and is very swanky with glitter and die cutting. You know what makes it even better? It coordinates with last years papers too so if you have a dedicated Halloween album, your pages from last year will move seamlessly into this year's!

New Shimmer and Glitter paper and embellishments by Reminisce with PENGUINS and Polar Bears! Super cute! And lots of great embellishments too!
And finally, two Halloween/autumn lines from Reminisce. The one of the left is HOLOGRAPHIC!!! Slick and shiny, this paper is SO cool.. there is nothing like it on the market either! there is much oooing and ahhing over this paper because it's just so different!

New Stamps!

Penny Black Holiday Stamps- I know they kind of blend in with the display, but click on the photo to see how beautiful they are!
Hanna Stamps is a new company for us. The wood mounted stamps are Riley the Moose and are TOO cute. The clear stamps are Hannah, doing all the things that Hannah does, like shop, cook, clean, etc.. They make great girlfriend cards and are perfect for scrapbook pages for showers, friends, etc.
We have two new boards from Penny Black. The one on the left is a very elegant design with a gorgeous tree that we all love and the one on the right is a very cute winter themed set. Click the image to see the boards bigger (you're welcome to take a photo of them too if you're in the store)

Just In!

New papers from Best Creations! Embossed and glittered for only $1.15 a sheet! There are some absolutely lovely Asian inspired papers here as well as some delish fall papers.
New from Dream Street! This double sided paper has some of the coolest backs! I just love it when the front is great but the other side is REALLY great. Journaling spots, 6x6 breakouts and more make this release very versatile!
On the left, Bo Bunny Holiday (posted last week) but on the right is Dream Street's super cute Snowman paper! Double sided cardstock weight- perfect for holiday goodies!
Last, but not least- QuicKutz new alphabets (University and Nutmeg are not pictured but they are the two new Cookie Cutter alphabets) The new 4x8 dies are SO cool.. A whole alphabet in one crank of the Revolution! They are perfectly sized for QuickStrips. If you're wanting to do something productive, but don't feel creative, run a few QuickStrips through with one of the 4x8 alphabets and have instant alphabet sticker sheets! Keep lots on hand for impulsive creativity and for taking with you to crops! Blossom Classic is a new size (previously only available in Grand and Mini) and Studio is re-released on 2x2 dies rather than 2x3s so it's easier to use and easier to store.

Revolution Love

Gingerbread House & Mini Book Class

Join Alissa this Saturday, July 26th, at 10:30am for this adorable project! Using Maya Road's Chipboard bungalow house, American Crafts 12 days of Christmas paper and tons of great embellishments, she will walk you through creating this house and the matching mini book! It makes a great gift or a wonderful decoration!

In addition to your basic tool kit, you'll need to bring a pencil, ruler and your favorite liquid adhesive (we recommend Scrappy Glue!)

This is a workshop length class (2.5-3.5 hours) so please plan accordingly. For only $27, this class is a great deal and will have you hooked on these cute little houses (Maya Road makes them in three sizes- you could create a whole village!)

New Bo Bunny papers

Bo Bunny's new papers have deep rich colors perfect for autumn, Halloween and fall formals. There are 4 lines that are double sided cardstock (three in the first photo here) and one single sided line that has nice fall colors and is the perfect weight for card making. The line that is second from the left has the same beautiful swirls on the back side, but against a white background so it is a very versatile paper. :)




Bo Bunny's Holiday line has fun colors of pink, blue and bright green with lovely tone on tone swirl patterns, snowflakes and presents. It is double sided cardstock weight and is great for holiday paper craft projects. I think it would make some really cute ornaments! These are hot colors for the holidays and are certainly not your mom's red and greens!

We are so excited about the 4x8 with the WHOLE alphabet on one die. (How quick and easy is that!?!?!). They have new storage solutions that will hold ALL your dies, border, 4x4, 4x8, 2x2 and Cookie Cutter and they have excellent new goodies for the Silhouette!

They're teasing on their website about the Revolution Love, but I've talked to Rhonda and Ellen, who saw it this morning and they're very excited about it. And I think it's something that will be very cool to have- i don't want to say too much and get in trouble though!

Acrylic Album Class this Weekend- PHOTO ADDED!

After a break, Chelsea is back and she's teaching an adorable Christmas Acrylic Album on Saturday, July 19th at 1pm. This 6x6 album is a perfect size and has pockets, envelopes and even a calendar to stash all your holiday memories! Not only will you create a wonderful acrylic album that will be ready for your photos and more, but you will learn the techniques needed to create picture perfect acrylic albums for any occasion!

Memory Box Penguin Card Contest

Through August 15th, we're having a Memory Box Penguin Card Contest! The winner will receive a gift box of 50 Memory Box cards and envelopes in solid colors (Excellent bases for all your card making needs!) and their winning card will be posted on our blog and our website for everyone to adore!

Official Rules-
1. You may enter as many cards as you want, as often as you want through the 15th of August. Please be sure to put your name on the back of the card so we know who you are and so that you can get your card back after the contest (Cards will be available for pick up on the 18th of August)
2. Entry cards must have at least one NEW Penguin stamp from the board pictured above that we have in the store now. (old penguins don't count! although if you want to mix in old Memory Box stamps - or other brands of stamps- please feel free to do so!)
3. Any papers can be used- the cards do not have to have Memory Box papers to be considered for entry.
