Bring on the BLING!

We are tickled pink at the new pearls from Kaiser- so much that we rearranged our entire Bling department into one easy to be dazzled by section! (click the image to see it bigger!)

Speaking of bling- the new Vita Bella line from Little Yellow Bicycle has very luxe and tastefully done foil accents and sparkling accessories! The papers are double sided and are in cool blues and greens with lovely, Old-World patterns. (the fleur-de-lis is a prominent embellishment shape for this line) The quote stickers are wonderful as well.

New Product - June 11th

It's been a little slow on the new release front with all the companies gearing up for CHA Summer, but we have gotten in some really great new stuff in the past week or so. Many of the releases are travel themed, but Reminisce just came out with 42 new themes- from water parks, to family and everything in between!

Making Memories new release has a wonderful vintage feel. There are tons of great embellishments (i *love* the little suitcase filled with goodies!) and Making Memories has joined the clear stamp revolution and introduced their line of clear stamps and storage options. One of their new sets is travel themed, but they also have alphabets, vintage shapes and labels and wings and crowns. Additionally, in their latest shipment, we received felt alphas, mini glitter alphas and the coolest deco looking epoxy alphabets. Check them out near the front of the store!

SEI, Inc's newest line, Poppy, is absolutely gorgeous! Each of the double sided card stock papers has foil on one side! Some is blue, some is silver, some is red and it's all very luxe and fresh. The bold floral pattern is balanced out by delicate stripes and swirls into a line that is very versatile and great for layouts and cards. The ribbons are posh as well, with lots of texture and shape that will complement any project.

KI Memories has a wonderful way of reinventing themselves while still retaining their signature look! This line is quintessential KI Memories but anything but dated! Their lace card stock has a lovely shimmer to it that really sets off the butterflies and swirls. Their double sided print papers are perfectly coordinated (and from what I've heard, *perfect* for iris folding) and have easy to use patterns that will work well with each other and with papers you may already have. Their embellishments are very cool- the embroidered felt pieces are very nicely done and the butterfly paper clips would be as much at home on a layout as they would be with a nice desk set as a gift!

I don't want to visually overload you guys, so I'll just mention that we also received My Mind's Eye new Garden Party lines, new papers from Sandylion and Creative Imaginations (including some cream and black shaped papers that are very nice), new Great Impressions stamps, new papers from Flair and the new line- Chloe Marie from Daisy D's papers.

Great Upcoming classes!

Check out what's in store at Eclectica!
We have two classes coming up from one of our newer instructors - Corrine Butler - that you won't want to miss! This former QuicKutz employee has some great design tricks up her sleeve that she can't wait to share!

Join us on Thursday, June 12th at 6:30pm to create a Masculine Mini Book that will be perfect to give as a Father's Day gift to remember! No more tacky ties or polo shirts- give dad something that will really show you care! If you have another special man in your life, brother, husband, or significant other, this album is a great way to let them know how special they are to you. It's totally suitable for birthday or anniversary gift giving.

Also, coming soon from Corrine, is the Star Book class on June 21st at 1pm. This is a deceptively complex looking book that is sure to get oohs and ahhs when you show it off. Corrine will show you how easy it is to create a wonderful Freedom themed book. If you don't do extravagant festivities for the Fourth of July, this book still has lots of options for you. If you have a family member serving in the military, this mini book is a great way to send them pictures from home with room for everyone to write their well-wishes. Also, if you have a family member that is a Veteran, this book is a beautiful way to show your appreciation for their service. (the image is from her class sample!)

Coming soon from Danielle, is a great layout class- Birthday Layouts on June 19th at 6:30pm. Danielle has a great style with solid layouts that can be modified for endless uses! In Birthday Layouts, you'll create three 12x12 pages suitable for any age and a birthday card to match from the scraps (don't we *all* wonder what to do with that ever expanding pile of scraps! And who doesn't need more cards!)

Look what we've been up to!

We've had some really amazing classes lately- and look at what we've made in them! Be sure to keep an eye on our class schedule so you don't miss out on the great classes coming up!

Alissa's Acrylic Album is actually made from 12x12 acrylic sheet cut into hot scalloped circles our in-store Die Cut Center! You can cut the sheet into freeform shapes with a craft knife or use any of our die cut shapes in the Accu-cut center to create truly one of a kind albums. Look for more Acrylic Album classes coming up so you can create fun mini books like this with confidence and ease.

Danielle's For the Birds mini book used Pink Paislee paper and the Honeycomb base from Pine Cone Press. Many of you may have seen her store sample "My Girls" and admired the pulled together look of it. If the instructions on the book base leave something to be desired for you, taking a class is the best way to take away the guess work. Complicated (or just complicated looking!) projects become much more manageable in a friendly class environment!

Another class by Danielle was the Flower Topiary workshop. Our class attendees created the larger topiary, but you can see that the technique can be applied to whatever size project you need! These would be absolutely amazing table decorations at a wedding or baby shower! I could see them being stunning for fall or Christmas decor also. What an excellent way to show off some of your favorite papers! (who wants to hide all those gorgeous papers in a book all the time, right?)

Upcoming Classes of Interest!

We've got some great classes in June and what better way to beat the Memphis heat than to come and chill out in one of our classes!

Coming up on Tuesday evening, June 10th, we've got Kimm and her Even More with Twinkling H2O's. If you've ever wondered what those little pots of shimmering color are by our register, this is the class to take! Twinkling H2O's by Luminarte are the prefect way to add an extra dimension to your stamping, scrapbooking and paper crafting endeavors. Kimm will be teaching you how to stamp with them and create backgrounds for cards or pages! Kimm is a new instructor to us, but not new to teaching and enjoys doing technique based classes. If you've been looking for a way to get our of your creative box, give this class a try! It's only $17 and you'll go home with samples and instructions to help you recreate the techniques at home.

And because we've had SO many requests for it, I want to remind everyone that we are having a class on Layouts with Multiple Photos with Danielle on Monday, June 16th at 6:30pm. If you want to get those photos off the computer and into a book, but don't want it to just look like you crammed as many photos on a piece of paper as possible, this is the class for you! Danielle will help you get several photos on a page and have it look cohesive, creative and cool! The class is only $16 and you'll create some fantastic pages with great embellishments while learning some new techniques!
