Basic Grey's Newest - June Bug & Lemonade

June Bug is Basic Grey's newest double sided release. Vintage style patterns combine with bright, fun, summery colors for a line that is versatile and sunny. (for some reason it just looks so *warm* to me... ) Many of the papers make me think of my grandmother's sewing chest. I think they'd be great for heritage type pages, all occasion cards, and scrapping those photos of our parents (or us) in embarrassing outfits from the 60's & 70's. :) Click on the paper rack image to see the patterns larger.

Lemonade is a single sided line that takes a different tone for summer- the cooler blues and softer reds dominate this line. It has a color palette similar to Urban Prarie, which was a favorite of pretty much everyone here at the store. Many of the patterns are small scale, which makes them perfect for card makers and keeps them from over whelming the photos on your pages. Click on the paper rack image to see these papers better too.

Star Wars Papers is HERE!

Long awaited and just arrived! The Star Wars Classic & Clone Wars paper from Creative Imaginations. As a HUGE Star Wars fan, I can say with authority that this paper is GREAT! It's bold, graphic and foiled! We also have a 12x12 scrapbook page pack (with double sided papers and stuff not in our open-stock) and matching rub ons. (the scrap pack pic is so small- sorry!)

Sketch Thursday - June 25th

This week's sketch may look simple, but just take a peek at Rhonda's layout and you see that it's a jumping off point for endless creativity. The scalloped background paper gives the illusion of multiple layers with its colored edge. The stripes running under the photo mat could be ribbons, distressed papers, even transparency strips. She's embellished the stripes with popped up die cuts, but you could add flowers, buckles, whatever strikes your fancy! She even broke up the 5x7 spot into 4 wallet size images, but you could just as easily put any size images there. This layout is perfect for front pages (imagine a family portrait there with your family name where 'graduation' is) or as a gift. It would look wonderful in a frame. Use the sketch as a jumping board for your creativity! Once you get started, the possibilities are endless!

Ambassadors will be active on crafting message boards and other communication channels, posting regularly about the QuicKutz brand. There they will discuss and give reviews on new QK products, answer questions and provide feedback to consumer's projects and craft ideas.

If you think you or someone you know would make a great QuicKutz Ambassador, we encourage you to look over the following information and to complete the attached survey.

What will a Quickutz Ambassador receive?

  • $1000 credit towards Ambassador's choice of QK products

Sketch Thursday - June 11th

Here's your sketch for Sketch Thursday! It may appear simple at first, but you can do SO much with it depending on your papers and how many mats you use, what embellishments... there's a lot of potential here!

I just love the column of wallets down the side- it totally reminds me of those old photo booth strip photos. (with the images cropped the right way, you could totally make it look like that too!)

Look at what Rhonda did with the sketch! She used several print papers together harmoniously by keeping them in relatively small doses. The horizontal stripes on the left and the vertical stripes on the right keep your eye moving around the page so you can take it all in!

Stamping Bella & Stampavie in the store!

They're easy to use, deeply etched and hand cut for perfect impressions. Come by and see our selection. We brought in a nice variety so there should be something for everyone.

Stampavie stamps are actually created by several designers and offer a wide range of images. All are absolutely wonderful for use with Copic Markers. Here's a small selection of what we currently have in the store.

It's a "Brandy's Birthday" Sale!

My 30th is coming up, so Ellen and I thought it would be fun to have a sale on the things I like most in the store. My #1 weakness is PRINT PAPER!

So- this weekend, you can take 20% off ALL print paper in the store (regular priced of course).

The next thing I really like is a bargain- how does and extra 50% off all red tag merchandise sound? That includes red tag stamps and QuicKutz.

Which brings me to the last thing I really like- QuicKutz. We're still doing the 4x4 Promotion where most all 4x4 dies are $6.99 or $12.99. That's through June 9th. But for the weekend only, we're going to be giving 25% off the Spring Gift Sets.

Come by this weekend- June 6th - 7th and help me celebrate my birthday by getting some great deals on the things I love.
