National Scrapbook Day Celebration!

Don't forget that this Saturday is National Scrapbook Day!

We are having a day of fun and creativity beginning with 4 make-n-takes that start at 10:30am and run until 2:30pm. $5 will get you two make-n-takes (remember Danielle's mini tag book- that's one of them!) and the other 2 are absolutely FREE!

Then at 3pm, our crop begins. Crop attendees receive an Imaginisce Mini Book Goody Bag with everything needed to create an adorable Maya Road mini book. Then there's the games and prizes and a delicious dinner from Olive Garden.

The fun doesn't stop on Saturday though. Sunday, from 12-4pm we have our NSD Mini Crop. It's only $3 and if you've come Saturday, it just makes sense to leave your stuff and come back the next day!

More NSD Make-N-Take Sneak Peeks!

Danielle has created two great make-n-takes for Saturday!

This adorable card shows a different way to use a QuicKutz die and if you haven't ever used a Fiskars border punch, you will here! Cosmo Cricket's wildly popular Snorkel line is showcased as well as Cloud 9 design's raindots.

Then, this mini chipboard book is just TOO CUTE! Using Imaginecse's very popular Hula Penguin line, this keychain book has alot of charm! And- it shows off one of QuicKutz **new** Spring Gift Sets - Relax!

Make-N-Takes are from 10:30am to 2:30pm on Saturday, May 2nd. There's one more still to be shown off :) So, keep an eye on the blog for a preview!

New Arrivals this week

I already posted that we got in the new Back to Basics from QuicKutz and those were released Tuesday, but in case you forgot, I want to remind you- they're great shapes. :)

We also got in the two new lines from Basic Grey- Wisteria and Lime Rickey. Both of them are lovey- and they're VERY different from each other. Wisteria is soothing in lovely shades of lilac, plum, periwinkle, cream, mint, toffee and sky. Lime Rickey is wild and rambunctious, with bright bold colors and patterns perfect for kids pages and mini books. It reminds me of their very popular Color Me Silly line from a few years back, but instead of the frogs, they have some funky birds that are really cute.

They also came out with a set of Limited Edition clear stamps. Word is once they're gone they're gone and we only got in six of each design.

Scenic Route's newest- Garden Party- arrived also, and has some really bright, fun prints and colors. Rumor has it that Danielle will be using this paper in an upcoming Monthly Mini Book kit. :)

Making Memories Wedding line is stunning! Classic, classy and luxurious, these metallic, pearled and glittered papers are just beautiful. The embellishments are amazing too. While this is technically a 'wedding' line, it would be lovely for formals, prom, showers.... my photo does it absolutely NO justice.. you just have to see it in person to appreciate how pretty it really is.

And finally, SEI's new travel line is really chic. It has a vintage 70's feel that is nicely balanced by the use of foil, pearl and 'new' papers.

QuicKutz Spring Gift Sets

These are the four sets that will be released on National Scrapbook Day (Saturday May 2nd). QuicKutz sold out of these the day they were debuted and I get the impression that they are going to be in short supply.

Each set comes with a Cookie Cutter alphabet and all the shapes shown (also Cookie Cutter) . The dies are *colored!* to match the accessory bag that comes with the set. The fonts on the boxes are the actual fonts in the sets.

We are offering DOUBLE STAMPS for Gift Sets purchased on National Scrapbook Day and due to the high demand for these items, we will not be able to put them on hold, so get here early if you want one! (click on images for a better view!)

Happy Earth Day!

We carry the **70%** recycled paper from Die Cuts with a View in open stock. Nab some today, go take some pictures at the park (or print those you took this past weekend at Shelby Farm's Earth Day celebration) and make a layout honoring Mother Earth.

Don't forget that we offer a rebate on *resusable* Eclectica bags. Our plastic bags are no longer supported at the Bartlett Recycling Center for recycling, so we are doing our part by reusing them. Each bag gets you a 5 cent credit!

Quickutz New Release Today!

This release truly lives up to its name! There are two nesting shapes in this release that everyone should have in their collection- squares and circles that have ***14*** nesting dies! That's right- 14 graduated circles and squares. Punches have nothing on these and think of how little space they take up!

There's a film strip, Polaroid photos, scalloped labels (including a nesting label), the most adorable clip board and notebook paper dies and a massive bracket border die that would make a wonderful wall decoration (Yes, Virginia, self-adhesive vinyl cuts beautifully in the Revolution too!)

This is a HUGE release with 27 die shapes and a 4x8 alphabet- Sticky Note (shown above in the photo) Click the photo or the title of the blog to visit QuicKutz website and see the new dies!

NSD Make-n-Take Sneak Peek!

Look at how cute this fridge magnet is! Doesn't it just make you SMILE! This is just one of the 4 make-n-takes we'll have for you guys on Saturday May 2nd in honor of National Scrapbook Day!

Also- the new Spring Gift Sets from QuicKutz will be available that day, and we'll be offering DOUBLE STAMPS on them. :) As soon as I can get the images in something other than a PDF file, i'll post them here for everyone to drool over. They're pretty darn cute!

Arrivals last week- Graduation papers, Heidi Grace and EK Punches!

Reminisce's new Graduation papers are SO gorgeous! They're flocked, foiled and shimmered (is that even a word?!) and are just so luxe! They've lowered their price point on the speciality papers from $2 a sheet to $1.50, so if you're considering making invites or thank you cards, your designer dollar will go farther!

Little Yellow Bicycle's newest- Zinna- is so bright and beautiful that you can't help but smile when you see it! The papers just exude spring. Some of the papers are glossy embossed and there is a die cut sheet that coordinates perfectly! Add the sheer frames and 3-d flower embellishments and you've got a winning combination for those vibrant, full of life photos you've been wanting to scrap!

Rumor has it that Fiskars will no longer be producing Heidi Grace or Cloud 9 papers. That means, this stunning line by Heidi Grace could be the last- ever... it is a sad day for me, as Heidi Grace papers are my all time favorites.... sniff sniff. Of course, I stocked up on this luscious cream, aubergine, chocolate and green ORCHID print paper. (I love orchids too! It's like this line was made for me. :) ) We got in a coordinating sticker sheet too that is just begging to be used on a special little mini book for my DH.

Graphic 45's newest- Transatlantique- has arrived and has me dreaming of summer travel and all the photos I want to take this fall on my first ever cruise (Can't wait!). While my destinations aren't as exotic as Paris or the coast of Africa, there's plenty of material in this line to make an absolutely stunning travel book, some impressive cards and I can definately see an altered steamer trunk with these as the focal point!

EK Success' new locking punches are all the rage! Storage for punches, especially the larger ones, has always been a bear. These lock, have custom made storage and stack! In a wide array of designs and sizes, these punches are super swell for card makers as well as scrapbookers!

Twinkling H2O's are BACK IN STOCK!

As many of you know, Luminarte, the creator of Twinkling H2O's, has announced that it is closing its doors. When we heard the news, we knew we had to stock up on these precious paints, so we placed a massive order that we hoped would enable everyone to get the colors they needed. Now, almost 2 months later, our coveted order has arrived!

We've been selling through pretty quick since these got here last week, so if you're been putting off adding to your stash and getting duplicated of your favorite colors, don't delay! Once they're gone, they're GONE!

Look at our new Spring Display!

Look at what the *super* talented Tricia (remember: our Make-n-Take Queen that moved way up north?) created for our window display! She used tons of QuicKutz, including the new 3-D Flowers and the grass and vine border dies. The letters were cut on the Silhouette.

It is just too cool the way she brought it all together and it is an amazing example of what you can do too! (might scale it down a bit, or maybe not!) Wouldn't this just be adorable in a kids' room, or as a display for a baby shower or confirmation? Maybe make all the flowers in shimmering pearls and silvers and have it at a wedding reception or anniversary celebration.

I hope this inspires you all to get in those craft rooms and get busy like it did me!
