Memory Box Special Event at Eclectica

Angela Finet, Memory Box Design Team Member, is coming to Eclectica Scrapbooks and Stamps to teach some amazing classes, and we are beyond honored to have her!

She will be teaching the following three classes on Saturday, August 21 and Sunday, August 22:


WATERCOLOR CARD CLASS  Saturday, August 21 at 10:30 am     Cost $30
In this class you will use watercolor pencils and Twinkling H2Os. Learn the advantages of each medium and get tips for applying watercolor to cards with washes and blending techniques. Students will create 4 cards with the new Memory Box winter stamp collection.

COLORED PENCIL CLASS  Saturday, August 21 at  1:30     Cost $30
Learn about color, blending and shading while using the latest Memory Box images and papers. Students will make 4 cards using colored pencil techniques. Dimension will be added using Flower Soft.

BOOKBINDING BASICS  Sunday, August 22 at 2:00 pm     Cost $30
Whether you are a novice or a self-taught bookmaker, you are bound to learn something new in this class. Students will complete 2 books that you can decorate at home. We will incorporate 2 proper accordion fold techniques, basic sewing, hard and soft-bound covers and the terminology used in bookbinding. These books feature new papers from the Memory Box What's in the Box release.

Students should bring: awl, bone folder, scissors, glue stick, pencil, ruler and a mouse pad/cutting mat.

It's Our 6th Birthday!!!

Thursday, August 12 is our 6th birthday. And since we're all about our wonderful customers, we'd like to invite you to our special celebration event!

Join us on Thursday for:

 * a piece of birthday cake from 11:00 until 1:00

 * a free birthday card make-n-take from 11:00 until 6:00 (while supplies last)

 * a drawing for 6 birthday gifts. That means 6 winners!  (A ticket will be given for participating in the free make-n-take and a ticket will be given for each $20 (pre-tax) spent. Winners will be announced Friday morning)

We will be celebrating with a HUGE BIRTHDAY SALE, beginning Thursday and lasting through Sunday.

New Arrivals

This is definitely one of my most favorite times of the year ~ right after CHA, when new arrivals start coming into the store on a daily basis. If you haven't been by the store in the last few days, here's a taste of what you're missing:

I've been a big fan of the previous Best Creations lines we've carried, and their new Back 2 School line does not disappoint.

It is bright and colorful and glittery. But unlike some other lines, their glitter does not flake, rub or come off.

The best way to describe Imaginisce's new Autumn line, Apple Cider, is YUMMY!

With names like Apple Crisp and Cinnamon Sticks,  I'm not sure where to go ~ to my craft room or my kitchen. But I do know one thing,... it definitely makes me want to create! Love flowers? Know someone special who does? Capture the beauty that the height of summer brings in this class featuring the beautiful floral images of Serendipity Stamps! Participants will work with bright summer colors in the copic color palette. We’ll learn highlighting, shading and aura techniques to make these flowers pop to perfection! Participants will complete their images into two cards with two additional images to take home. 

Please note: This workshop length class is limited to 8 participants to offer more personal tutoring and assistance with Kimm. This class is suitable for any copic user who has attended the Intro to Copic class or equivalent. A list of Copic markers used will be available before class.

Bittersweet

This is a bit of a bittersweet moment for us,... our sweet and talented Megan is on her way to further developing herself by pursuing an exciting new opportunity. And although we're sad to see her leave us, we're very happy for her.

Her last day with us will be this coming Saturday, so please make sure to stop by the store and wish her well.
