Sketch Thursday - June 25th

This week's sketch may look simple, but just take a peek at Rhonda's layout and you see that it's a jumping off point for endless creativity. The scalloped background paper gives the illusion of multiple layers with its colored edge. The stripes running under the photo mat could be ribbons, distressed papers, even transparency strips. She's embellished the stripes with popped up die cuts, but you could add flowers, buckles, whatever strikes your fancy! She even broke up the 5x7 spot into 4 wallet size images, but you could just as easily put any size images there. This layout is perfect for front pages (imagine a family portrait there with your family name where 'graduation' is) or as a gift. It would look wonderful in a frame. Use the sketch as a jumping board for your creativity! Once you get started, the possibilities are endless!
